Working with NewRidge Refinishing Group to have the hardwood floor on our main floor replaced was a pleasure from start to finish. This company came recommended by our realtor who told us other clients of hers had had a great experience with them - she can now add us to that list. Originally we were weighing whether to have the original floor refinished, or to replace it. Matt came out to meet us and quote for the job. He took time to explain the pros and cons of each option, answer all our questions and followed up with a written quote for each option. Ultimately we decided on replacement and chose new hardwood from AA Flooring. Owing to some trouble with a different contractor we hired for a bathroom job, we needed to delay the start of the floor replacement project, and the company was very accommodating of this change. The estimate to complete the floor replacement was between 3-5 days. On day one, Sebastian and his crew showed up early and promptly and carefully removed the existing stair rail to allow for the existing floor to be removed and replaced. Matt followed shortly after and worked diligently and efficiently each day to complete the job in 3 days. He removed the old floor, screwed down the subfloor (virtually eliminating the squeaking we used to have) and did a fabulous job installing the new floor and fixing up the baseboards. At the edge of the stairway going to the basement, he sanded the existing bullnose board and restrained it to match the new hardwood we chose - it matches perfectly. As soon as the flooring by the stairway was complete, Sebastian and his team were back and quickly had the railing back in place (promptness which I very much appreciated as we have a small and inquisitive child in the house!). We are very pleased with the end result, as well as bein delighted with the service we received from all involved. Both Matt and Sebastian were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks to everyone involved!
